The Federation of Swedish Speaking Visually Impaired in Finland

In spring 2007 following the success of Jakobstads Tidnings’ digital talking newspaper FSVIF placed an order for a similar system targeted to replace the postal-based delivery of ten Swedish language talking newspapers in Finland.

After the project 400 subscribers could listen to their newspaper using the Pratsam Box and in 2008 alone a total of 40.000 talking newspapers were distributed and played back via Pratsam.

The system provided service to the FSVIF and in a user satisfaction survey performed in spring 2009 the users indicated that they were very satisfied with the new technology.
